Here's another set of pictures from Shindand. Hopefully these give a little more direction than anything I had previously posted. I have hundreds of pictures of the area if anyone is interested. Hit me up on facebook if you'd like more information.
These pictures are from the Shindand Agricultural Experiment Station, which is just off the runway on Shindand Airbase. FB Thomas is also in the same secure perimeter. The Agricultural Station exists as a USAID program to help the local economy. They pay the managers, who are locals, and the crops are sold in the community to pay the incomes of all the other workers. It really is amazing what has been accomplished, especially considering how dry the area is.

Our Wedding!
Michelle and I got married in Berlin, Ohio on December 20th. We stayed in our own little log cabin at Donna's Premier Lodging. We had a private ceremony in our cabin in front of the fire place and read our own vows. It was a really great night and Amish country was beautiful :) We both couldn't be happier! Here's a couple pictures taken outside the day of. Michelle looked gorgeous and she was really patient with me taking pictures of her in the snow. We did take frequent breaks inside to warm her up though :)

Christmas Puppy!
Here's some pictures of my Christmas present to Michelle... a Jack Russell Terrier Puppy! We named him Griffey after my favorite baseball player, Ken Griffey Jr. He just turned 8 weeks and he's totally adorable. Of course the first thing Michelle wanted to do was put him in her cowboy boots for a picture :)

John Bryan State Park
I just got back from a hike through John Bryan State Park. It started pouring so I had to leave but I did get one shot I was happy with. The leaves are starting to change and it makes me so happy to be back in the Midwest!
